The next date is conditional
The Insolvency Act, No. 12 of 2026, was certified on 17 June 2026. Section 1 begins on certification, but the remaining provisions have a six-month delay, subject to a possible Gazette extension.
Nominal six-month point, not a confirmed final commencement date. The Minister can extend the delay under section 1(4). Do not treat the full framework as already operating on 8 October.

Dates belong to provisions
The Inland Revenue amendment's section 1(3) table lists operation or deemed-operation dates. These 23 entries do not share one effective date. Principal-Act references below are locators, not a summary of liability.

Other amendments use other clocks
- VAT 14/2026, section 2: a date substitution in principal section 2(1)(c). It does not put every amendment on 1 July 2026.
- SSCL 10/2026, sections 2-3: registration/deregistration period wording from 1 July 2026. Section 4 also has Schedule changes tied to 1 May 2026.
- PFMA 44/2024, section 1(3): specific exceptions require Gazette-appointed dates. The statutory 30 June 2025 deadline for s 11(5)(f) is not proof of the order.
What this register does not settle
Eight certified primary texts were inspected. The commencement mechanisms are quoted by section, but this is not a full amendment/repeal history or confirmation that each implementing regulation exists.
- PFMA Gazette-appointed exceptions are unresolved.
- PDMA, Banking and Central Bank operation dates are attributed to Treasury/CBSL reports. Their underlying Gazette orders were not independently inspected.
- Microfinance and Credit Regulatory Authority 9/2026: Parliament reports endorsement on 20 March 2026. Its certified primary copy and section 1 were not recovered, so it is excluded from the certified-text register. A Bill is not used as an Act.
- No legal advice, personalised tax liability, enforcement status, compliance score, later-amendment completeness or full EconHub legal parity is claimed.
